Meet the maker, Vanessa.
Originally from France, I’ve been living in Canada for the past five years.
Every summer, I head north to Vancouver Island, exploring the Pacific coastline in search of whales and bears... always hoping to meet the ones I’m truly here for: the orcas. I turned that dream into reality by becoming a naturalist.
From my second passion, sewing, Olala! was born, a brand of handmade clothing and accessories, crafted with care right here on the island.
Olala! is where two worlds meet, seemingly opposite, yet deeply connected in my eyes:
On one side, there’s adventure , the call of the wild, the pull toward something raw and untamed.
On the other, there’s softness, quiet moments, simple emotions, and the beauty of things made with intention.
Each piece I create feels like something to cherish, something you want to look at, keep close, and care for over time. Olala! embodies the balance between rugged adventure and gentle serenity, the freedom to love beautiful things while staying mindful and respectful of the world around us.
